The Eastern District assists our Lutheran schools and early childhood programs with staffing, call lists, accreditation, visits, research, consultation and the tools to provide professional growth for teachers.

• The LCMS School Ministry assists, equips and uplifts school educators, district staff- especially education executives and congregational leaders- so that through them children may be equipped as disciples of Jesus Christ.
• National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) is the nation’s largest and most influential organization of early childhood educators and others dedicated to improving the quality of programs for children from birth through third grade.
• Certification of Racial Nondiscrimination Includes IRS Form 5578 and Instructions.
• Lutheran Education Association (LEA) is a professional organization that links, equips, and affirms educators in Lutheran ministries, helping them become excellent educators.
• National Lutheran School Accreditation (NLSA) is an ongoing process of self-evaluation, improvement, and recognition based on national standards for childcare centers, early childhood, elementary, and secondary schools. LCMS Lutheran schools (elementary, secondary and early childhood) are eligible to apply for accreditation through National Lutheran School Accreditation.
