District Conventions in The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod are vital because they serve as a time for congregations to come together in unity to reflect on God’s mission, make decisions for the work of the Church, and encourage one another in the faith.  These gatherings provide an opportunity to elect leaders, address important theological and practical matters, and discuss ways to proclaim the Gospel effectively in a changing world.  Rooted in prayer and Scripture, District Conventions strengthen the bond of fellowship among congregations, equip the Church for ministry, and ensure that all work is aligned with the mission of proclaiming Christ to all nations.

2025 Eastern District Convention Registration Instructions

 

  •  Everyone attending the convention in any capacity MUST register online. Your delegate form is NOT your registration. You MUST register in addition to the delegate form. (Guests, speakers, exhibitors, etc. must register.)
  • A separate registration form is needed for EACH ATTENDEE. This is how we will determine housing, meals and special needs.
  • Convention costs have increased so please be a good steward as follows: 

o  Only register for the housing/meals you need.

o  If for some reason your plans change, immediately notify ruthmarzano68@gmail.com so that we don’t incur extra costs for unused hotel rooms and/or meals.

  • For those who will be staying at the DoubleTree by Hilton: we have arranged for a breakfast buffet on Friday and Saturday. It is free for delegates but there will be a fee for others. It is fairly expensive, so if you don’t think you will utilize it, please don’t sign up for it so, like above, we aren’t paying for someone who doesn’t show up.
  • The DoubleTree by Hilton will honor the room rate for a few days before and after the convention nights. If you want to extend your stay, you can contact the hotel to add the extra nights.
  • Registration is tied to your email address and therefore each registrant must have a unique email address. If you are registering someone else, you will need to use THEIR email address or else their name will get associated with your email address in Constant Contact (the platform we use for our electronic communications). This often happens when admins register their pastors. We then will be unable to find you by your name, even if your email address is still in the system. We also will use these email addresses to send convention related information so it is important that it is the registrants email address and not someone else’s.
  • Please complete the registration form no later than May 30, 2025.


REGISTRATION FORM:

  • There are many required fields. You will not be able to complete your registration without filling them out.
  • In the unlikely event there is an emergency, we need to know who to contact. That is why these are mandatory fields. We will be keeping this information just in case of an emergency and will destroy the information after the convention.
  • There will be limited handicapped parking spaces available at First Trinity. Please note if you will need a space on your registration form. You must have a handicap placard or license plate to utilize these.
  • Once you have entered all information, you must click “Complete Registration” on the right side of the screen. If you do not, you will not be registered.
  • Once you have completed the registration, you should receive a confirmation email. If you do not, your registration was not processed.

REGISTRATION COSTS:

  • Delegates (Pastoral, Lay and Advisory): Lodging and Meals Are Free
  • Spouse Lodging with Delegate: $25/night
  • Non-Delegate Housing at DoubleTree by Hilton: $180/night
  • Boxed Lunches at First Trinity: $15/day
  • Friday President’s Reception and Banquet at DoubleTree by Hilton: $75
  • Breakfast Buffet at DoubleTree by Hilton: $25/day
  • Exhibitor Table Fee: $50

  • We would appreciate it if you would submit payment as soon as possible.
